Remember Us

The Holocaust Bnai Mitzvah Project

I will be honored on the day of my Bat Mitzvah to remember

Shulamit Rozen

a young girl who never reached the age of Bat Mitzvah

Shulamit was born in 1936.

She lived in Klobucko, in the Czestochowa district,

in the Kielce region of Poland.

Her mother's name was Bluma; her father's name was Yosef.

Shulamit died in the Shoah at Treblinka concentration camp in 1942.

She was 6 years old.  Today she would have been 79, with

a family and possibly children, grandchildren, and even great-granchildren to honor her.  Just imagine what she might have contributed to humanity and how she might have enriched the world.

I share my becoming a Bat Mitzvah with Shulamit Rozen to help keep her memory alive and to help us remember the devastation of the holocaust so that it never happens again.
